About Fayetteville Area Habitat for Humanity
Seeking to put God’s love into action, Habitat for Humanity brings people together to build homes, communities, and hope.
Fayetteville Area Habitat for Humanity, Inc (FAHFH), a Christian organization, was founded in 1988 with the mission to build safe, affordable energy-efficient homes in Cumberland County. In 2016, parts many areas where Habitat Homes were built experienced major flooded during Hurricane Matthew. Our Critical Home Repair Program began as a response to Hurricane Matthew and has continued making homes safe and secure since then. The Veteran Repairs Program was initiated in support of those who have served our country, with FAHFH becoming an authorized Veteran Build Affiliate in in 2018.
In 2019, FAHFH expanded our reach beyond Cumberland county into our neighboring counties, Bladen and Sampson. Through our three programs (Homeownership, Critical Home Repairs, Veteran Repairs), and three counties (Bladen, Cumberland, Sampson) hundreds of individuals and families have been blessed with affordable housing opportunities and vital disaster-relief home repairs
