Mountain State Park boasts two mountain peaks that offer magnificent views of the surrounding Piedmont. Trails offer challenging hikes and towering cliffs — and even the opportunity to traverse two states through the Ridgeline Trail, which connects to Kings Mountain State Park and Kings Mountain National Military Park in South Carolina. A wide variety of resident birds, from songbirds to birds of prey, make the park a great spot for birdwatching. 

It is the perfect opportunity to get some exercise and enjoy the warmer weather while spending time with your family. There are several hiking paths that you can choose from, based on varying difficulty levels and experience. The views at the top of Crowders are wide and gorgeous, and well worth the effort to climb the mountain.
