G.R.I.T.S.  is an acronym meaning Girls Raised in the South and is a catering company started by Chef Jo. A lover of all things food and a true entrepreneur at heart. G.R.I.T.S CLT, LLC is a fusion of Southern Cuisine with the taste of the Caribbean, Creole, Spanish, and African Cuisines. Chef Jo graduated from CPCC's Culinary arts program in 2014 with an Associates Degree in Applied Arts and Science. Her goal was to open her own catering and food truck business within five years. After graduation she worked as a lead cook for an Assisted Living facility, she was a Line Cook for Compass Groups Corporate Building Cafe, where she learned how to cook various types of cuisines. Chef Joe then became the Sous Chef for a local non-profit catering company where she learned the ins and outs of the catering business. Chef Jo's passion for food can be seen in the presentation of each dish as well as its taste. Following her dream of owning her own business, Chef Jo saved up her mone and in 2019 she decided to step out on faith and open up her very own catering company, G.R.I.T.S CLT LLC. Her ambition and drive keeps Chef Jo motivated and excited to serve her customers DELICIOUS cuisine as well as A plus customer service.
