Hounds Drive In Theater is one of the largest outdoor movie venues in the country and a totally unique Charlotte movie theater offering. Movies always start at dusk, and you can find what’s playing weekly on their website. The drive in makes for a fun way to spend an evening, and is a throw-back to simpler time! 

Venue Information and Rules: 

• ​Movies start at Dusk
• All Lights on vehicle MUST remain off during movies
• Tune Radio to: 88.1 FM for Screen 1, 90.5 FM for Screen 2 and 89.5 FM for Screen 3
•  We except cash or credit cards at the ticket booth and the concession stand.  We currently sell ONLINE tickets!
• ​No Outside Food or Drinks - We offer a Full Service Concession Stand reasonably priced
• 26 Restrooms on the premises
• We have picnic tables for guests to use
• 15 Minute intermission between Movies
• We have Three 50 x 100 Foot Screens
• ​High Definition Movies with 7,000 watt bulbs
• ​Screen 1 holds 500 cars, Screen 2 holds 250 cars and Screen 3 holds 400 cars for a total of 1150 cars
• Radios can be rented for $5 (must have valid ID)
• Radios can be purchased for $20
• Park between the parking poles as far forward as you can
• We offer free jump start for dead batteries​
• We are pet friendly, No barking or agressive dogs.  All Pets must be kept on leash.  Owners are responsible for cleaning up after their pets
